A great way to write Elder Schenk is by going to DearElder.com. Write a letter, and they will print it and deliver it to Devin in the Philippines for free! The mail only goes out once a week, Sunday night at midnight, but you can write it any time. It will take 10 days or so to get to him, so be patient if you're waiting for a reply!

But, like Devin said, don't let that discourage you, he loves mail!

Basptism Day in Cebu City

Akong Balay

My House. This really isn't my house, but it is the coolest one I have seen here. They are made completely by hand. The walls are bamboo and the roof is woven palm leaves.

Laundry Day

My washing machine. Since then I have become quite proficient at letting the soap and bleach do the cleaning. Then you rub a little and Poof! It's clean!

Cooking

Our awesome stove, that now does an excellent job of boiling water in 20 mins.! We need to get it fixed. This is sardines.

Pepper

This is how you buy pepper at the market.

Yummy Dinner

This delicious dinner is sardines! Yum! You can add some noodles to them to make it more filling.

Soda in a can, a rare find!

It's almost always in bottles. This is my kitchen. It is the nicest house I have been in here in Carmen. No bugs!

I love the Filippino people!

I am going to miss them when I go home. Maria on the top right was getting close to baptism, but now isn't in my area.

Air conditioning in the Philippines

They call it AirCon. These save you on hot days. Some days just taking the effort to turn the page in a book you are reading makes you sweat. Fans are nice!

No barbershop in the area

I just tried to be Filippino and do what the locals do. Just kidding, it's a wig.

Welcome to the most beautiful place on earth!

This was an aweome sunset we had in Luyang, just outside of Carmen. It looked cool next to the fish pond.
